The only constant thing in life is Change
The only constant thing in life is CHANGE
By N’cita Willey
Hello March! I can’t believe we are in March 2021 already. Just think back for a moment to exactly a year ago, March 2020. Wow, so much has changed for me in only a year. I am sure we can all relate, 2020 has been one heck of a ride, with so many things that changed for each and everyone of us.
We all face changes every day, whether it is a simple change in the weather, our schedule or expected change of seasons and then of course the whole Covid-19 pandemic, which forced many many changes in all of our lives.
Change affects us all, it’s inevitable and we each deal with change differently. This is the only constant in life, the only thing we can be sure will happen. To expect change has brought me hope during challenging or unexpected life events, knowing that the wheel must turn, but this same thought has also brought fear in situations where the last thing I wanted was change. Change brings about unfamiliar situations and feelings, which doesn’t always feel safe, because it might feel like you are losing control of your life.
I’ve come to realize it’s not the circumstances or the changes that dictate how my life will go, but rather how I handle those changes and disruptions. No matter the change we experience, how we embrace that change will forever impact how we are able to live with the change. This always reminds me of one of Wayne Dyer’s famous quotes – “Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at change”. This has ALWAYS worked for me.
And what is life without change? Without change life will be stagnant. It will become dull and sluggish. Imagine if everything was the same, how boring?
Remember that changes are a normal part of life, practice living life with an attitude of gratitude and embrace change as an opportunity for continuous renewal and growth. Everything is either an opportunity to grow or an obstacle to keep you from growing. You get to choose ;-)
May you have a blessed March, full of opportunities to grow and expand…
