Cultural Exchange: Morolong Dance
Cultural Exchange: Morolong Dance
Written by Paola Diaz Uribe | Artist Souls Paola Diaz
I had this visit pending and, finally moving on with my artistic philanthropist “dream” projects, I made it to this peaceful place on Mother Earth. I was received with so much honest love and kindness and I can only express my gratitude in as many ways I can and this is just one of them:
Poko A’ Sekwena Art History Gallery, founded by a South African poet and historian named Suzan Skhosana. Her ancestors had an important role in the history of teaching as a profession, including teaching music. This cultural village is inspired from the Tswana roots of the diverse South African history and the traditional Morolong cultural dance is part of their legacy.
In this cultural exchange journey, it is a privilege to keep discovering close connections between our own heritage and others in the world.

It's been such a privilege to have this kids collaborating with Paola Diaz Uribe through Setswana Cultural poetry, music and dance. We are looking foward to more future collaborations of Colombia & Setswana Cultural exchange programmes once funding is in place.
