The Meaning of Soul Dancing

The Meaning of Soul Dancing

By Paola Diaz Uribe | Artist Souls Paola Diaz

What happens when your soul truly dances.

Someone wrote to me few weeks ago a message of gratitude for dancing for the kids at her institute: "I just love this dance and I love your expression and the way you dance. Is it just wonderful". And then, I looked in detail at the Mapalé dance I performed for them. The video made me realise of the dramatic and theatrical way I do express myself when I dance and the passion, joy and happiness I feel when I do it. She made me witness for myself my soul truly dancing through my body...And for the purpose of what I do through the arts, her words meant the world to me...It honours those whom, like me, have chosen to make social changes through their mindful "Artist's Way".
